Description of Internships

 
• Organic Syntheses Applied to Furan Chemistry

Interns will work on projects with laboratory staff as members of the research team performing all the duties. The main research area will be heterocyclic chemistry, more precisely, furan chemistry. Our research interests are focused on developing of new synthetic methodologies based on furan dearomatization strategy; we currently have several projects students may be involved in. Syntheses of typical starting materials usually include a variety of classical and modern reactions that might be of interest for highly motivated undergraduate students who are always welcome to apply. As for the theoretical part, interns will attend literature seminars on methods in organic chemistry and perform their own tasks on searching and presenting the information.

• Electrochemistry Materials

Interns will work on projects with laboratory staff as members of the research team performing all the duties. The main research area will be electrochemistry.

Our research interests are focused on developing of Intermetallic and Nano-Structured Compositions оn the Basis of Magnesium, Titanium, Vanadium, Chrome with Large Accumulated Capacity of Reversible Hydrogen Storage and means for protecting metals from corrosion.

As for the theoretical part, interns will attend literature seminars on methods in electrochemistry and perform their own tasks on searching and presenting the information.
